- Examination and Advertisement: After filing, KIPI examines your application to ensure all documents are in order and that your mark does not resemble any registered trademarks. You will receive an examination report indicating whether your mark is approved. If approved, you must pay the advertisement fee. Your mark is then published in the KIPI journal for 60 days, allowing for any objections. If no objections arise, you will pay the registration fee and proceed to the final stage.
- Registration and Renewal: If no oppositions are filed, your trademark will be registered, granting exclusive rights for ten years. Remember, you will need to renew it periodically to maintain protection.
